About

Thanks for taking a look. We started in November 2013 at the Old Black Lion pub in Northampton with 5 people turning up. Since then we have gained a few more members. We havem now moved to a new home and can be found in the dining room at The Lamplighter 66 Overstone Rd, Northampton NN1 3JS
We like to think we are a very relaxed group, playing a varied mix of songs from the 60’s to current day.
Come along and join us on a Thursday night from 7pm onwards

  1. Hi Northampton Strummers,

    Greetings from New Zealand.
We found it impossible to buy quality concert banjoleles at a reasonable price, so we decided to make them.
Have a look at http://www.banjouke.com & see what we came up with.
If you’re interested in talking about our BanjoUkes, we’re interested too!!

    Cheers,
    Ed

  2. Hi there

    Thanks for responding.

Its for our wedding – we are getting married on May 9th , and we would absolutely LOVE for a Uke band to play to welcome our guests, between 2-4pm. We live in Northampton, but the wedding is 30-40 mins away in Aynho, Oxfordshire

Shout if you need anything else…

    Many thanks,

    All the best

    Ian

    • Hi Ian

I did have a chat and we have already got a few booking this year so unfortunately will have to say no. We just meet for fun and didn’t really have any plans to do any gigs but sort of drifted into it, the more we do then the more it takes over our usual meeting with the practicing. I am afraid.
Have you tried any groups closer, there is a guy runs groups at Oxford, Reading and Marlow who may be able to help.

Hope you have a fantastic day and sorry we can’t join you.

      Ian
